In the run-up to the European Parliament elections on 9 June 2024, the fight against online disinformation and the manipulation of information is of crucial importance to preserve the integrity of the elections. In this context, the European Regulators Group for Audiovisual Media Services (ERGA), in collaboration with the European Commission, has launched an awareness campaign aimed at strengthening the vigilance and resilience of EU citizens in the face of the false, misleading or manipulated information with which they are confronted online. This initiative aims to address a phenomenon that could compromise the ability of citizens to make informed decisions.
In collaboration with its counterparts, ALIA is inviting Luxembourg’s audiovisual media service providers to participate in the digital campaign, asking them to actively broadcast and share the campaign video in their programmes, on their websites and on their social networks.
